My name is Liz McQuaid Hejny (pronounced Hay+Knee).

Things I love include: animals, film, animation, comics, knitting, spreadsheets, and video games. 

I am an artist that wears many, many hats. Job titles I’ve had over the years (both official and unofficial) include: Art Director, 2D Animator, 3D Animator, Modeling Artist, Environment Artist, Set Dresser, Character Artist, Texture Artist, Look Development Artist, Lighting Artist, VFX Compositor, VFX Artist, Realtime VFX Artist, VFX Supervisor, 3D Generalist, Designer, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist, Illustrator, Matte Painter, Motion Designer, Motion Graphic Designer, Game Designer, Teaching Assistant, Technical Director, Editor, Sound Designer…and the list goes on…

My creative practice as a professional artist centers on storytelling as a connective force, using design and digital media to translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives. Whether collaborating with a team or as the sole artist on a project, I am dedicated to realizing client visions with intention, creativity, and care.
